November, 2020 from the Pastor

Dear Friends,

Every November we remember our dear ones on All Saints Sunday. We light candles and ring bells and sing. Any sadness we feel is balanced with the joyful knowledge of the Resurrection.

As the leaves finish their color and fall and winds of change blow from the north we turn to thoughts of Thanksgiving. We’re thankful for the beauty of Creation. We’re thankful for the fellowship we share. We’re thankful for the comfort of God’s promises.

Our Fellowship Hall has a cornucopia that reminds us of the abundance of our lives. Out of that abundance we bring food for the needy and monetary offerings for the community of Ontario.

November can be cold and with gray skies but a Light is coming. November 29 th is the first Sunday of Advent . We begin the Advent journey to the manger and we anticipate a season of rejoicing.

Jesus the Light of the World is coming and is now here!

Peace to all,

Pastor Heidi
